CREATED FOR: Humboldt County Convention and Visitors Bureau
In 2006 Dobaydesign was approached to redesign redwoods.info, a site we had first produced in 2004. One of the main goals was to show off more of the area’s assets. Dobay solved this problem by utilizing custom header graphics and an emotional, approachable Flash movie as an intro. New functionality was added in: more features displayed on each member’s record report, such as streaming video or audio where applicable, and an improved My ititerary system. A streamlined, integrated navigation system was implemented which features graphic links to important cost triming aspects of the site like “View Heritage Trails Brochure” which launches the online version of the real thing. The HCCVB has enjoyed the continued success of online ad sales. Also, due to an aggressive committment to seo including the implementation of an enhanced back end which supports meta content use within the database itself, the HCCVB is enjoying top placement in many important search engines.
